The following fixes and new features were added in March 2010:
-Added alive/dead status search to Encounter Search -Delivered another drop of data to the OBIS -Fixed nicknaming functionality -Updated Encounter Search to break down results into numbers of: identified and unique, unidentified, and duplicates. -Finished internationalization of individuals.jsp -Delivered version 1.22 of the sharkGrid client to match open source changes. -Added location and location code to the Flash display of spot pattern match results (user request from Zab in Utila) |

The following updates were completed in February 2010:
-Further open source migration work (code cleanup and migration) was completed -Fixed UTF-8 support for encounter submission and servlets -Replaced the old calendar software and servlet with a new open source version and dramatically improved response time -Started automated daily backups. The entire catalog is now backed up daily. -Fixed handling of GPS. GPS value of (0.0,0.0) now allowed. |

-Further open source migration work (code cleanup and migration) was completed -Interconnect upgraded to version 1.2 to support loading fgp files saved by I3S 2.0 (requested by user Simon Pierce) -Redeploy of the Polar Bear Photo-identification Library at http://www.polarbearlibrary.org using the new open source platform -Upgraded the object-relational layer from JPOX 1.2.3 to DataNucleus 2.0 -Changed database columns to better match their DarwinCore equivalents -Added the ability for encounters to be recorded with a "Status" of "dead" or "alive" to reflect the first sighting of a dead, previously marked individual (MZ-379). -Upgraded to TapirLink 0.70 |

-Further open source migration work (code cleanup and migration) was completed -Cross-site scripting attack prevention was added for the online encounter submission form -The Excel export feature is now available to users. To prevent data theft, it's limited according to the regional permissions of the user (i.e. filtered by associated location code). -Upgraded the object-relational layer from JPOX 1.1.9 to JPOX 1.2.3 |

The following updates were made to the ECOCEAN Library in November 2009:
-a JBoost data export facility was added -moved servlets out of the root path and into org.ecocean.servlets -removed unnecessary code out of servlets to better utilize the new ServletUtilities class -installed Ant and a JPPF server for future sharkGrid development |
