March 2009 update

I'm going to make this a rolling list, preventing me from forgetting completed tasks at the end of each month.

Tasks completed so far in March 2009:

-Significant performance improvements to sharkGrid. The database layer couldn't handle the throughput speeds required of a grid computer, so we moved grid operations into RAM.

-Added location code filtering to the Sightings Calendar. The library now has two ways to move through a season's data on a timeline: the Sightings Calendar and the Google Earth with Timestamps added, which is available from the Encounter Search.

-Fixed a 2009 date issue with the Shark Search and Sightings Calendar.

-Added <, >, and = operators for filtering max. years between resights in the Shark Search.

-Fixed a long standing bug in the paging of allEncounters.jsp.
