I am working towards getting information about whale shark sightings or deaths in the along the coast of China or Taiwan, and wanted to see whether anyone has additional photographs or information for us.
What I have found out so far (you will need to be able to read chinese or alternatively use google translate to get a idea of what the pages are saying):

I am lobbying the authorities and one aspect is to prove that whale sharks are out there and are migrating down the coast. If anyone has additional information regarding this area, please get in touch.
