Database migration for the ECOCEAN Library is under way. The Library is moving to a new, enterprise-class database. I will be freezing user accounts and stopping data submission for 24-72 hours to ensure that things aren't changing while data is moving between the old and new databases. Our apologies in advance for an interruption! I'll send out a new post when things are complete (data movement has already started).

Thanks to MIT and the British Ecological Society for funding or assisting in the effort!

Database migration is complete. There may be a few kinks to still iron out, but overall it looks like full functionality has been restored. All user accounts are now active again.

We're still familiarizing ourselves with the optimization techniques available for the new database, so you may experience variable performance. This new database architecture has been MUCH easier to manage already though.
