Visiting Donsol, Sorsogon

I work as a whale shark spotter at Ningaloo Reef and would like to see the Donsol whale sharks, before our season begins.  Can anyone suggest accomodation and whale shark tour companies in Donsol?  I 'm looking at going in March.

Hope this information is in time for your trip to Donsol. I visited last year for research  and met some interesting people.

Fernandos Hotel at Sorsogon is about 1 hour by taxi away and owner is Cecilia Duran one of the initators of the Donsol project and can tell you the history of whale sharks at Donsol as she is the past president of Bicol.

The tourist council and government offices are located in Sorsogon too and they are very helpful.

Woodlands Beach resort is very close to the visitor centre so much more conveinient but semi- remote and only open in season. (I was told Feb march was the best time as it gets very busy in April) Woodlands is in Lonely Planet.
